Lookup

The system includes a set of standard lookup options and displays web pages to perform all of the basic queries. The system can be accessed through the company's firewall to allow external connections to the image retrieval system. If access is through the firewall, additional programming and installation will be required beyond the standard installation costs.

The user enters data on a query page using related information.   Depending on whether a specific enough query is made, the user may have to select from several records to find the one needed:

In the standard release of the image archive and retrieval system, the lookup information used to find the image is limited to the data that is available in the Flex capture database. To include other information, like name lookups, the software can be adapted to create the proper forms, queries, and lookup indices with other databases.
