Based on the S1 Vision 120 platform, this device is able to read, image capture, sort and endorse at 120 documents per minute (dpm), while encoding at a throughput of 60 dpm (12 characters, 6" US checks).

This Vision model is equipped with CMC7 or E13B MICR encoding, and offers high precision dot matrix technology, as well as a modified track to insure perfect document alignment.

The S1 Vision-e takes full advantage of the "upstream" image capture technology of the S1 Vision Series and supports the latest ICR Vision technology as a standard feature to efficiently define and manage image snippets. This will allow for the ability to implement image based OCR recognition at full transport speed. Upstream image capture allows for the ability to recognize OCR from snippets defined in any part of your items or remittance slips, front or rear, and drive endorsing, encoding and sorting decisions not only from the MICR code line but also from the information properly recognized from bitmap images.

The S1 Vision- e latest technology endorser allows for the printing with up to 4 lines of information. With one endorser, you now have  the ability to print crisp, clear and quality endorsements with alphanumeric characters, as well as graphics and logos of different shapes.

Panini ICR Vision

ICR Vision is a new feature that gives added value to the S1 Vision image capture technology, and is offered as standard for the entire S1 Vision Series. ICR Vision provides access to uncompressed, bitmap images and image snippets, thus enabling the application for fast Intelligent Character Recognition (ICR)/OCR/Barcode recognition technology in the processing flow.
The snippets are areas of the item, defined by the user, where relevant information is to be recognized. ICR Vision allows for the ability to define up to 10 image snippets each of them with different sizes, orientation and positions, both on the front or rear side of the item.

Taking advantage of the transport upstream image capture, it allows for the ability to endorse, encode and sort items from image, using any information being recognized by an engine. With fast access to upstream bitmap images and the ability to define image snippets, VARs and Integrators, can apply their preferred ICR /OCR/barcode engines in the software application or use optional OCR recognition solution provided by Panini for the Vision series.

Thanks to ICR vision, the entire S1 Vision Series becomes a range of intelligent, multipurpose scanners with sorting capabilities, suitable for any application requiring high quality imaging technology, for checks or other items such as coupons, tickets, and vouchers, where significant volumes need to be scanned and information recognized on any part of the item.
